The Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL) launched several tertiary level programmes such as the Certificate in Education for Development (CED), the Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP), the Certificate in Local Government Studies (CLGS), Higher Diploma in Adult Basic Education and Training (HDABET), Certificate in Early Childhood Development (CECD), Diploma in Early Childhood & Pre-primary Education (DECPPE) and the Diploma in Education for Development (DED, formerly the HDABET). All NAMCOL programmes are fully accredited by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA).
In line with its mandate, the College diversify its programme offerings and embarked on the development of online courses to improve educational quality, increasing access, reducing costs, and to enable individualisation of instruction. The Certificate in Early Childhood Development (CECD) programme is the first to be offered online through the blended learning mode. You can study mostly online but benefit from face to face interaction through orientation workshops at the beginning of each semester. The duration of the Programme is 18 months.
